All students are required to have a daily school planner to keep track of their homework.
Parents should check their child's homework against the planner and sign acknowledging it is completed.
Current Event:
Various holiday projects- Students are busy creating DVDs, glitter ornaments, sock snowmen, and gingerbread houses.
Reading: My students are reading The Toothpaste Millionaire and Mr. Ori's students are reading How To Eat Fried Worms. Both groups are working on several projects. My students have three weeks to spend one million dollars. Some are investing in college and property while other are buying video games. They have also designed a book bag using recycled material. They are very cute!

Using Technology to Improve Reading Fluency
Guest speaker in 4th grade
Mr. Booker traveled to Alaska this past summer. He was fortunate enough to tour Susan Butcher's kennels and Jim King's kennels. While visiting he got to see the dogs in training, listen to the musher's experiences running the Iditarod, and hold some of the future racers (puppies). The students gained a stronger feeling of what the race which gave them a better insight to the story they are reading; Akiak. Click here to see pictures.
