About Our School
- Tri-City CUSD #1 is a Pre-K – 12 District housed entirely under one roof.
- Tri-City CUSD #1 is 17 minutes from Springfield and just over 20 minutes from Decatur
- Made up of three towns – Buffalo, Mechanicsburg, Dawson
- District is the largest land mass district in Sangamon County – 96 square miles
- 80% of Tri-City students meet or exceed on State assessments this is compared to the state average of 75%.
- 79% of Tri-City students meet or exceeded the standards in Reading, and 85% met or exceeded in Math.
- 15% of Tri-City seniors are Illinois State Scholars
- Average class size of 20 students.
- Tri-City offers conventional classrooms as well as technologically based curriculum
- Professional Development Department to keep teachers on the cutting edge of research and methodology
- A variety of opportunities for parental involvement; Sports Boosters, RIF, and Market Day
